Asbestos Removal Services
Asbestos is common in older homes and commercial buildings across the South Coast, especially in properties built before 1990. It can appear in roof sheets, external walls, eaves, bathrooms, vinyl flooring and fences, and often cannot be identified just by looking.
Our asbestos removal service covers inspection, planning, removal and disposal, so you have one point of contact from start to finish. We work on both residential and commercial sites, including stand‑alone asbestos jobs and asbestos removal as part of a larger demolition project.
Where is Asbestos Found
In the Batemans Bay area, asbestos‑containing materials are often found in:
- Roof sheets and wall cladding
- Eaves, soffits and gable ends
- Bathroom and laundry linings
- Old vinyl floor tiles and backing
- Garages, sheds and fences
If you are planning a renovation or demolition, or have damaged sheeting on your property, it’s important to get it checked and handled by trained, licensed professionals.
How a Commercial Demolition Runs
The way a commercial demolition runs is shaped around your building, neighbours and project timeline, starting with a detailed site inspection or review of plans to understand structure, access, services and any live operations nearby. You then receive a clear written scope, quote and proposed programme that covers methods, staging, any out‑of‑hours work and what is included, so expectations are set from day one.
Before machinery comes on site, permits, service disconnections, shutdowns and any required traffic or pedestrian management are organised. The site is then set up with fencing, signage, exclusion zones and dust and noise controls, along with safe access paths for workers and other trades.
Demolition is carried out in controlled stages using suitable equipment, with materials sorted, loaded and taken away for recycling or disposal as the site is progressively cleaned. Once structures are down, temporary controls are removed, final checks are completed, and the site is handed over clean and tidy, ready for construction, redevelopment or fit‑out.
How Our Asbestos Removal Process Works
We follow a clear process to keep your site safe and compliant:

Inspection and testing
Assess likely asbestos locations, arrange sampling and confirm results where needed.

Removal plan
Prepare a plan that outlines methods, safety controls, timing and disposal arrangements.

Site set‑up
Isolate the work area with barriers and signage, and set up dust control and safe access paths.

Licensed removal
Carefully remove asbestos using approved methods, PPE and tools to minimise fibre release.

Clean‑up and clearance
Clean the area, seal or wrap waste, and arrange transport to an approved asbestos facility.

Documentation
Provide records of the work completed and disposal details for your files and future trades.
Safety, Licensing and Compliance
Asbestos work is carried out under NSW Work Health and Safety laws and the relevant asbestos removal codes of practice. A licensed removalist is required for friable asbestos and for more than 10 square metres of bonded asbestos, and this is always recommended for safety.
Our approach includes: licensed removal, trained staff, suitable PPE, air and dust control, and disposal only at approved asbestos facilities. This helps protect your family, workers, neighbours and future trades on site.
We also make sure the area is clearly signed, fenced and kept tidy while work is underway, with dust and debris managed so they do not spread beyond the work zone. After removal, the site is cleaned down and any remaining risks are explained in plain language, so you and your trades know exactly where it is safe to work.
